Jesus's testing in the wilderness

Jesus undid the sin/lust of the flesh

the tree of knowledge was good for food (Gen 3:6)

complained of hunger and so lacked in God to provide food (Ex 16:3)

refused to turn stone into bread when he was very hungry (Lk 4:2-4)

Jesus undid the sin of possession (lust of the eye) and worship of idols

the fruit from the tree was a delight to the eye (Gen 3:6)

worshipped the golden calf (Ex 32)

refused to worship the devil to gain possession of the kingdoms of the world (Lk 4:5-8)

Jesus undid the sin of pride and putting God to the test

eating the fruit would be like God, knowing good and evil (Gen 3:5)

tested God by complaining to Moses for water to drink (Ex 17:2)

refused to test the Father and show off his Sonship by throwing himself off the top of the Temple and be rescued by angels (Lk 4:9-12)
