Led the captives to the promised land

went with the captives in Babylonia back to Jerusalem (Ezra 8:1-14)

descended to Sheol to bring the captives with him when he ascended into heaven (Eph 4:8-10)

Appointed leaders

appointed judges to maintain God's law among the people (Ezra 7:25)

gave the apostles authority to bind and loose on earth and so in heaven (Mt 18:18)

Passion accounts
