Hebrews 11:11 By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.

Son is a covenant promise of God	Abraham's offspring through Isaac would possess the land of Canaan, kings would come (Gen 17:6-8) and all nations would be blessed (Gen 22:18)	David's offspring through Jesus, the new Isaac, would establish an eternal kingdom (2 Sam 7:12-16 & Lk 1:32-33) fulfilling God's covenant promise to Abraham of worldwide blessings
Blessed by God	nations and kings come from her (Gen 17:15-16)	full of grace and God is with her (Lk 1:28)
Mother of nations	through Jacob / Israel and Esau descendants (Gen 17:16)	mother of the Church, the new Israel (Jn 19:27; Rev 12:17)
Model of faith	trusted God’s covenant promise and so conceived Isaac (Gen 21:1-6 & Heb 11:11)	humbly submitted to God's plan to conceive Jesus (Lk 1:38)
