Three Men with Abraham

Jn 8:56-58 "Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad.” So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”

Abraham saw the LORD: at Mamre the LORD appeared as three men and Abraham bowed down to them and addressed them as one Lord (Gen 18:1-3); Jesus said that Abraham saw him and was glad (Jn 8:56-58)
Feet washed: the feet of the three men were washed (Gen 18:4); Jesus washed the feet of his disciples (Jn 4:4-15)
Bread given: to the three men (Gen 8:5); Jesus gave us the Eucharist, the bread of eternal life (Jn 6:51)
Three measures of flour: Sarah used three measures of fine flour to make the bread (Gen 18:6); Jesus told a parable of the kingdom of God being like a woman adding a small amount of leaven (yeast) to three measures of flour and the bread rising to a much larger size (Mt 13:33)
