Jesus the new Rock

1 Corinthians 10:4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ.

Exodus 17:1-7 and Numbers 20:2-13

When struck gave out water	Moses struck the rock with his staff (Ex 17:5-6; Num 20:11)	a soldier pierced Jesus's side with a spear, and water and blood came out (Jn 19:34)
Gives life through supernatural water	the Israelites wandering in the wilderness drank the water from the rock (Ex 17:6; Num 20:11)	anyone drinking the water (the Holy Spirit) from Jesus will never thirst again because it gives eternal life (Jn 4:14-15, 7:37-39)
